How to always start Mozilla Firefox in private browser mode

If you use Firefox and don't want it to track every website you've visited, you can configure your browser to always use . Once you close all Firefox windows, none of your browsing history will be saved. Here's how to enable it.

What is a private browsing feature?

Private Browsing is a feature in Firefox that does not save your browsing history, download history, completed forms, searches, and other types of local data between browser sessions. (A browser session ends when you have completely closed all Firefox windows.)

In fact, Firefox will not save your browsing history or within your browser, except for a list of recently closed tabs that will be restored when you exit Firefox completely.

Private browsing is most useful when you share a computer with others and don't want them to see the websites you've visited. However, it doesn't stop her of your browsing activity in other ways – including through your ISP, through your router, and by websites that track your IP address.

How to always use the private browsing feature in Firefox

First, open Firefox. Click on the hamburger-like icon in the upper right corner of the window.

When the menu appears, select "Options".
On the Options page, go to the “Privacy and security” settings by clicking the lock icon on the side .
On the "Privacy and Security" page, scroll down until you find the "History" section. Click the drop-down menu next to "Firefox Will" and select "Use custom history settings".
With the "Custom Settings" option, look under the drop-down menu. Check the box next to "Always use private browsing".
Clicking the check box will ask Firefox to restart the browser. Click "Restart Firefox Now".
After Firefox restarts, the private browsing feature will always be enabled.
To confirm, go back to Options> Privacy & security> History. There should be a check mark next to the "Always use private browsing" box.
Just remember to close all your browser windows when you are done with your session.
