For the story of Steve Jobs introduced the first Apple II computers designed by Steve Wozniak in 1977. The Apple IIGS was the fifth model in the Apple II series, released on September 15, 1986. Apple continued to sell the Apple II series until 1993.
As noted by Ars Technica, the update brings improvements for previous Apple.
Those who do not have an Apple II PC Internet Archive created an emulator that runs the ProDOS 2.4 update.
Brooks' improvements to the new ProDOS include a Bitsy Bye, a new launcher and a new Bitsy Boot, a utility for quick and easy startup of Apple II. Ars reports that Bitsy Bye runs less than 1 kB RAM while the boot utility runs less than 400 bytes, making it an example of high-performance coding.
The ProDOS 2.4 ISO is available at the end of the publication but and on the Brooks Call-APPLE page. According to Brooks, her first screen applicationς εμφανίζει την ημερομηνία 16-Αύγουστου-16 "για τον Woz" και μάλλον αναφέρεται στον SWEET16, τον metaprocessor στα 16-bit που έγραψε ο Wozniak και χρησιμοποιήθηκε στον Αpple II.
