Project Butter by the creators of Popcorn Time

A new by the creators of Popcorn Time appeared in the middle of the the upheavals we have been experiencing over the last few days. The Project is a new version of the service that essentially "removes the parts that made users wary."

Because Popcorn without butter is not made

Project Butter

Not the new project does not immediately facilitate copyright infringement, but it seems to remove basic features that make it possible to stream streaming movies and shows from Bittorrent.

Project Butter includes all the pieces you need to have a "big streaming service", and not at all directly which refer to piracy.

The Development Team (which was left after the beginning of the week) said he left GitHub for copyright issues, as some did not contribute much. By separating the streaming engine, they hope they will be able to get more developers on board. Essentially, the team is trying to solve one of the problems that have occurred in the last week.

The developers who develop it who use the service are afraid of being prosecuted by the authorities.

Project Butter was announced in a post made in the Popcorn Time blog, but quickly went offline as he allegedly suffers from an attack on his DNS.

On Twitter, the team said it would start streaming open content, such as the Internet Archive content.

This move is apparently intended to use the core technology of Popcorn Time as a legitimate service, while in the background it will still allow that provide copyrighted content.

You can read all the announcement from the link at the end of the publication.

Update: For now, both butterproject.org as well as the popcorntime.io is not online. From group Twitter, they claim that their DNS provider is attacking.
