Project Shield from Google to protect webpages from DDoS

A few hours ago we published for uProxy, a tool from Google to bypass any kind of censorship. It was presented at the Google Ideas conference in New York. At the same conference, παρουσίασε το Project Shield ένα εργαλείο για την προστασία ιστοσελίδων από type DDoS.

The DDoS protection tool to it works only by invitations from the company. It is based on the existing one The company's PageSpeed, which improves a website's performance.
“Project Shield is an initiative to use Google's infrastructure to protect websites. Combines DDoS mitigation and Google's PageSpeed service, which allow websites to serve their content through Google to better protect against DDoS attacks,” Google says.

The service, obviously, will be similar to CloudFlare. The new Google service is free, but is currently only available with an invitation.

If you want to try it, you can use the online form. For now, Google has a preference for news sites or human rights websites.
