The Q4OS project develops a Debian-based desktop distribution that has versions for the KDE Plasma and Trinity desktops.
Q4OS has released a new stable release, Q4OS 5.2, based on Debian 12.
“A brand new Q4OS 5.2 stable release codenamed “Aquarius” is now available for download and use in production environments. It is an LTS (long-term support) version that will be supported for at least five years with updates security and software updates.”
“Q4OS Aquarius is based on Debian Bookworm 12 and wears Plasma 5.27.5, or optionally Trinity 14.1.1. It is available for 64bit/x64 and 32bit/i686pae computers. A version for older i386 systems with or without PAE extension will follow soon in a few days. We plan to bring Aquarius to Appliances ARM. The goal is to provide a stable, as light as possible, functional system based on Debian with added value thanks to the unique tools of Q4OS.”
