Start Explorer in a separate process in Windows 8.1, 8, and 7

By default, the Fillet Windows ExplorerOr Windows Explorr) opens all its windows in a single process. The classic way

Open the Control Panel

Follow the following path:

Control Panel \ Show and Personalize \ Folder Options

Control Panel \ Appearance and Personalization \ Folder Options

When the Folder Options window opens, go to Projection.
Down in the list of options, you will find an item called Launch folder windows in a separate process Open folders in a separate folder process. Mark and save.

With the extended menu

You can start a window in a separate process from the expanded menu of Explorer.
Press and hold the Shift key. Right-click on a File Explorer. You will see some additional items in the menu. One of these is Open in a new process.

The easy way

Start Explorer in a special one process from the command line
