The government's Internet Radio Service in Russia, Roskomnadzor, ordered Russian Internet Service Providers to forbid access to the adult porn sites Pornhub and YouPorn.
The decision to ban the two websites came after a lengthy legal dispute that began in May 2016 when a judge ordered the two services to be blacklisted for "producing and disseminating pornographic information."
While pornography is not illegal in Russia, the filming or distribution of adult content is, according to Article 242 of the Penal Code of the Russian Federation.
Russia tried to ban Pornhub and 2015 in September after a court decision, which was later canceled. An appeal court is also expected to consider the last ban we mentioned later this year.
The decision to ban Pornhub, this time, came from the Buturlinovsky District Court in region Voronezh.
Just like last year, Twitter users criticized the government's decision.
So after intense user reactions, the official Roskomnadzor account replied to a user saying: "find someone in your real life" instead of watching adult movies.
