Microsoft revealed yesterday that it will stop supporting the old builds of Windows 10 that it had released through Windows Insider. This practically means that the devices that are installed will be impossible to get started.
Its Windows Insider program companys is designed to give the company's customers the opportunity to test new versions of the Windows 10 operating system, before they become available from the stable channel. So Microsoft by collecting test data can determine problems and modify various features.
The Insiders of course they can upgrade to the next build when it becomes available. Here we should mention that all builds addressed to Insiders have an expiration date.
The idea is not entirely new. Last year, Microsoft announced it would block the old versions of Windows Insider from the boot.
But it seems the company manages the expiration of licenses different in Windows retail versions. It usually displays a black background on the desktop, a notification, and restarts every hour.
