A link sharing feature in iOS versions of the program tours Apple Safari, allows users to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch to change their titles when sharing parts of web pages.
One researcher has expressed concern that this feature could be misused to share "fake news" that has a wider impact.
While browsing web pages, such as news articles in the Safari web browser on iPhone or iPad, users can select and share a partial text from σελίδα and not the whole page.
However, the text snippet may also come from a text input field that the user can control and edit.
In other words, users can type arbitrary text into the search bar of news sites and then "share" it via iMessage.
Η preview link generated by iMessage, will display them fake news as text coming from the actual page.
