Samsung will build Apple's upcoming A9 Chips

Like every such year, Apple is developing the new iPhone models expected to be released in the market at the end of the year. Rumors are already swirling, suggesting that the company will release two or three this year στη σειρά S, αλλά μάλλον είναι πολύ νωρίς να πιστεύουμε σε φήμες. Οι φήμες ισχυρίζονται ότι οι εταιρείες TSMC, Samsung και Globalfoundries ανταγωνίζονται για το ποιά θα αναλάβει την of the new chip.

However, according to a recent publication by Bloomberg, it seems that Samsung has managed to close an agreement with Samsung Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for the upcoming chips.Apple A9p

Sources aware of the issue claim that Samsung has won orders for the AxNUMX chips that will run on Apple's next iPhone (whether it's iPhone 9s or 6s), and some of the orders are going to be built by GlobalFoundaries, which is a Samsung partner.

Η δημοσίευση του Bloomberg, αναφέρει επίσης την υπόθεση ότι η Samsung έχει ήδη κατασκευάσει τους επεξεργαστές octa 7420 SoC, χρησιμοποιώντας 14nm process, και έτσι δεν θα υπήρχε manufacturing of the A9 chip with the same technique. This will bring a much more efficient chip to market, as current A8s run on a 20nm process.

Samsung will build Apple's next-generation chip at the Giheung plant in South Korea, but we do not know when mass production begins.

However, we probably will soon have more news as Apple is accustomed to announcing the new iPhone models sometime around September.
