Samsung stopped selling it Galaxy Note 7 and reportedly announced a "voluntary" recall of the product. According to the company, the "voluntary" recall will begin on September 19 in 10 countries.
Samsung announced that there were 35 cases of defects batteries worldwide and that Galaxy Note 7 devices that have been sold will be voluntarily replaced.
The official announcement was made today during a press conference in Seoul, South Korea.
It should be mentioned that the company with the strange term "voluntary" revocation tries not to take all the responsibility that belongs to it.
Normally as long as the percentage of devices that display problems with the battery is higher than expected and it became an issue the company should replace all the devices that have been sold regardless if the battery is working or not.
Naturally, such a measure will have a significant impact on the company as well as on consumers, given that Samsung has already marketed 1 million devices world-wide.
