Samsung will release one private beta του προϊόντος Linux on DeX στις 12 Νοεμβρίου. Το Linux on DeX θα επιτρέψει στους χρήστες να ανοίγουν μια επιφάνεια εργασίας του Ubuntu από το Note 9.
Linux on DeX will only support one version of Ubuntu (16.04 LTS) and will only work on Note 9 and Tab S4 devices that have at least 8GB storage and memory greater than 4GB, according to Samsung. All packages must be compiled for Arm 64.
Samsung claims that the new Linux on DeX interface can be used by developers to work "on the go" and in the case of the Tab S4, it will have a more complete tablet interface.
"Linux in DeX can slow down or shut down suddenly in case of memory shortage," warns the Korean company.

Let's note that Linux on DeX needed a base first, but the latest Samsung devices only need a USB-C to HDMI cable.
