Samsung has just started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat updates to Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 devices. We don't officially know what the company plans to do with the other devices but the information from SamMobile will probably make quite a few Samsung device owners happy.
The site published a list of devices that will receive the update on the latest Google Android, 7.0 Nougat. Some of these devices have not yet been confirmed, but there is a great chance that we will see Samsung upgrading them this year.
First of all, the new Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) will definitely be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat after they have just been released to the market. Their predecessors from the 2016 series will also be informed.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy A8, A9 and Galaxy A9 Pro are also likely to receive the Android update. The Galaxy S6 and all its variants (Galaxy S6 Active, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+) have been confirmed to be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat.
Last mentioned is Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016). They could also be upgraded but have not yet been confirmed by Samsung.
However, based on the fact that their predecessors were informed by Lollipop at Marshmallow, the SamMobile website speculates that the 5 J7, J2016 will also be upgraded.
