ScanLAB: Seeing the world through the perspective of a self-driven car is undoubtedly something completely innovative.
Η ScanLAB Projects όμως το τόλμησε, τοποθετώντας LIDAR εξοπλισμό (φως detectionand aiming) in a Honda CR-V, offering us the opportunity to see what an autonomous vehicle "sees".
The car, in this case, drives a man, but LIDAR works just as it would in a non-driver vehicle.
LIDAR fires lasers in every direction and then uses sophisticated electronics to measure the time it takes for the beam to bounce from surrounding objects back to the sensors.
The timings are then collected and analyzed to “paint” a kind of picture that the car uses to better understand its moving environment and avoid some conflict.
