Seagate has just introduced its latest product: a new 60TB SSD hard drive. It is the unit with the largest capacity in the world, since it has four times the capacity of the latter disk of Samsung's 15TB.
Of course it is not for the general public. THE company presented the device as a solution for centers data that need reliable drives for long-term data storage, and hopes to hit the market sometime in 2017.
Probably a disc of this capacity will not be cheap. For comparison, the SSD of Samsung's 15TB SSD, which was released earlier this month, costs 10.000 dollars.
The disc was presented during the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara, California.
