Seagate is proud of its new Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD made of 10-terabyte helium and touts it as very economical, waste-free energys, and as the lightest in the 10TB category.
The monster unit is 3,5 inches and comes with an array that includes seven "platters" and 14 heads. The disk according to the company can deliver 6Gbps as SATA and over 12GB/s with Serial Attached SCSI interface.
Seagate reports that the unit has an average time between a breakdown of 2.500.000 hours.
The new disk is naturally aimed at data centers that provide cloud services computing. Seagate already has Huawei and Alibaba as customers.
Provides an improved MTBF of 2,5 million hours and provides consistent performance for customers in a 24 × 7 multi-disc environment.
So the Seagate Enterprise Capacity 3.5 HDD is ready for business and is available in both 6Gb / s SATA and SAS with 12GB / s.
