The founder of Shiny Flakes on darknet was sentenced to 7 years

Yesterday in Leipzig, Germany, 20 Maximilian S, founder of Shiny Flakes on darknet, was found guilty of selling 914 kilograms of drugs and sentenced to 7 for years. The conviction marked the end of a trial with the biggest crime so far on darknet in Germany.

After Maximilian S.'s surprise confession at the end of September, the presiding judge, Norbert Göbel, found him guilty of building and operating store Shiny flakes. It was a website where every registered user around the world could buy all kinds of drugs. From December 2013 until his 26 2015 February 4.400.000 owner received Bitcoins worth € XNUMX.

The court decided to judge Maximilian as a minor after an assessment was made by the juvenile court where Maximilian S. was estimated to be financially independent and highly intelligent, but lived in a poor life and had emotional immaturity.

Maxililian S. started running Shiny Flakes at the age of 19 and very soon managed to make it one of the most profitable online drug stores in Germany. Apart from some help at first from his mentor, RedBull user (who has already been arrested) and by someone with the username DummesSchwein (who disappeared early on), Maximilian S. basically handled all of the online merchant duties himself, handling the side of Bitcoin wallets, server, pickups and with of products to customers.

In an interview with 2014, the owner of Shiny Flakes attributes his business success to choosing pills, but also to using statistical analysis of customers and purchasing habits.

Shiny Flakes provided virtually everything from MDMA, ecstasy, meth, LSD, marijuana. By paying Bitcoins, you could order whatever you liked.

The police had introduced the drugs seized at a press conference early March of 2015, shortly after the arrest.

Maximilian S. made two mistakes that eventually sealed his fate and drew the attention of the Leipzig Police. He did not put the correct stamps in one of his packages (or did not put at all), with the result that some of them ended up being held in Leipzig's central post office and the staff described them as packages of suspicious content. And the second mistake was that he always used the same post office that was relatively close to his home.

Despite the seizures of all Bitcoins by the police, it is unclear whether Maximilian S. will be completely absent after his release. The police have access to two of its Bitcoin wallets and through them they are able to see the rest but which has not been able to open. For now, the police are trying to auction the amount of Bitcoin they have seized.
