Skype 1.7 Alpha for Linux

Skype 1.7 Alpha for Linux: Microsoft released a new one today of Skype Alpha for Linux. It is a completely redesigned software that has nothing in common with the previous version Skype 4.3.

Η it is still in early development and lacks some key features such as video calling or screen sharing.Skype 1.7 Alpha for Linux

The latest version is Skype 1.7 Alpha for Linux and brings the following changes:

Defined behavior of unread messages (when you open a chat window in unread messages, the screen will focus on the first unread message.) Of course you can scroll, and the messages will be labeled as read.
New grid layout for group calls.
Fix for reconnecting the app after the for a longer period of time.

The new Skype 1.7 Alpha for Linux only supports the latest version of the Skype protocol. Due to this limitation, the application is unable to communicate with them using Skype for Linux on the ancient version 4.3.0.37.

With the new Skype Alpha for Linux, however, you will be able to receive messages and calls from the latest versions of Skype for Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android.
