As we mentioned in our previous article last weekteam, the official Skype blog and social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter had been knocked down by Syrian Electronic Army.
Even though Microsoft immediately removed the messages the hackers left on the hacked pages, the Skype blog remained offline until today.
Now it's online for all users and in a short message on that blog, Microsoft reiterates that users' information was not jeopardized during the attack.
“On January 1, 2014, we experienced a targeted cyber attack that resulted in access in social media of Skype, on Facebook, Twitter and on this blog. Immediately restore the credentials used to manage these websites. No user information was compromised, and Skype service was not affected.” he says the Microsoft statement .
