SnoopSnitch: It appears that some Android device manufacturers they claim that their devices are up to date when they are not. Below we will see how to determine if your Android smartphone has been updated.
Initially you should go on the Google Play Store and download SnoopSnitch, an app developed by Security Research Labs, the company that first discovered that manufacturers mobile Android phone companies are not honest with their customers.
The app is free and takes little to download and install seconds.
After installing the application, click Android patch level analysis which appears at the top of the screen and then select Start the test.
The tests will take some time, but the results will justify you.
SnoopSnitch will discover and report not only vulnerabilities that have been repaired, but also patches that are missing, and new vulnerabilities that have not yet been repaired.
For more information on the results, please consult faq of the Security Research Labs.
Note: SnoopSnitch also claims to be able to detect “stingray” phone trackers, but this feature may be inaccurate.
What can you do with the information?
If your device is up to date, everything is fine. If not, then you know with certainty that the manufacturer you trust is not trustworthy.
