Google Sodar helps you keep your distance

Google Sodar is an AR tool to help you keep the required social distance due to the coronavirus pandemic.

People who are waiting and want to maintain the social safety distance of two meters, due to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic can easily see if they keep these distances with the help of Google and Sodar.

Google has a new augmented reality (AR) tool that can help you follow toyw social distancing rules when you have to go out of your house. This is an experimental one called Sodar and creates a two meter radius ring around you through your phone screen. The purpose of the tool is to give you a way to visualize how far the two meters should be and to adapt to the new environment as the quarantine is already over.

Sodar is not a standalone application and does not need to be installed to work. To use it, you just have to visit his website. However, it will only work using Chrome on devices and some Android devices may not be compatible.

If you've worked with any of Google's AR projects on your device, then the is likely to display the Sodar Virtual Social Distance Index.
