It charges with the sun and can travel 240 kilometers, has a capacity of three people and is a unique ecological movement with minimal cost.
The solar three-seater moped "Sunnyclist", built by the mechanical engineer Manolis Tsikandylakis in Heraklion, Crete, have the opportunity to admire the people of Thessaloniki at Pavilion 13 of Philoxenia until next Sunday.
"The construction of the moped was completed just two months ago and we already have the first 10 orders that will be ready in the spring, from hotels and car rental companies in tourist areas," Mr. Tsikandylakis told APE-MPE, explaining that Sunnyclist is ideal for the Greek islands, where the distances are short and the roads are low speed.
He added that the assembly of the entire vehicle takes place in Crete, while its goal is partreatment to reach 100 mopeds per year, making it a new means of ecological and safe transportation.
The Sunnyclist is autonomous and in most cases it does not require charging it to the grid, it is an economical solution compared to other energy vehicles, it can serve a great deal of travel at a minimal cost and is flexible for urban areas.
Its advantage is that, if necessary, it can charge from a common outlet in two hours and can be driven either by the engine or the pedals.
"And, of course, its market is relatively low since it costs from 8.000 euros to 11.000 euros, depending on the battery and the photovoltaic that will be chosen" concluded its manufacturer.
