It charges with the sun and can travel 240 kilometers, has a capacity of three people and is a unique ecological move at minimal cost.
The solar three-seater moped "Sunnyclist", built by the mechanical engineer Manolis Tsikandylakis in Heraklion, Crete, have the opportunity to admire the people of Thessaloniki at Pavilion 13 of Philoxenia until next Sunday.
"OR construction of the moped was completed just two months ago and we already have the first 10 orders that will be ready in the spring, from hotels and car rental companies in tourist areas" said Mr. Tsikandylakis to APE-MPE, clarifying that Sunnyclist is ideal for Greek islands, where the distances are short and the roads low speeds.
He added that assembly of the entire vehicle is in Crete and its goal is to produce 100 mopeds annually, making it a new means of ecological and safe transportation.
Sunnyclist is autonomous and in most cases it is not required to charge it to the electric network, it is an economical solution compared to other energy vehicles, it can serve a large part of the movements at minimal cost and is flexible for urban areas.
Its advantage is that, if necessary, it can charge from a common outlet in two hours and can be driven either by the engine or the pedals.
"And, of course, its purchase is relatively low as it costs from 8.000 euros to 11.000 euros, depending on the battery and the photovoltaic that will be chosen" concluded its manufacturer.
