Reuters - Spanish police say they have arrested eight people who allegedly helped steal more than $60 million from banks around the world. The method they used for the robberies was reproduction – creation credit cards and ATM withdrawals.
The arrests are one of the biggest except of the United States who were connected to a series of bank robberies. The robberies were reportedly coordinated and took place in multiple countries, netting the robbers millions of dollars in a matter of hours.
The Spanish police said in her statement that six Romanians and two Moroccans were detained on the outskirts of Madrid. Seized 25.000 euros, as well as about 1.000 blank credit cards, computer systems and several jewelery.
The statement states that the gang was controlled by a single person arrested in Germany.
