Micron, Intel, and Intel Toshiba, revealed that we will have discs once Solid State Drives (SSD), at 10 Terabytes. Their availability to the public in accordance with Companies, will start from the beginning of next year.
After all, maybe it's still early enough for technologies multi-layer chips that will make such capacities possible, but it seems that SSD disks with a capacity of 10TB will probably soon (in less than a year) be accessible to the general public for use in our everyday devices.
και περισσότερα από 10TB σε μια τυπική unit of 2.5-in.
As shown Solid State Drives with these properties (gum size) will sloware yet to hit the market, but according to the companies we're going to see huge leaps in the capabilities of traditional hard drives.
When they first appeared Solid State Drives were popular due to their size and weight, but stood out for the very high cost compared to traditional hard ones. With this technology that seems to be maturing and getting more and more mainstream, availability will continue to rise and prices will continue to fall, as reported by TNW.
