A case file was filed at the expense of the owner of the company, who traded the preparation, based in Ireland.
Complaints preceded, according to which, in various websites of the Internet, a product is advertised - preparation, which is about losing kilos in a very short period of time.
In addition, a complaint about the illegal preparation was filed by a national, according to which its photographs, which were portrayed with perfect physical proportions, were used as a supposed result of its use.
From the Greek Police's Electronic Crime Prosecution Department, a case of illicit trafficking and disposal via the Internet of an unauthorized pharmaceutical product was discovered. A case-file, a regular procedure for the illicit trafficking, sale and sale via the internet, of a medicinal product not authorized by the National Organization of Medicines (EOF) was filed against the owner of the company, based in Ireland.
In particular, the investigation of the case started after complaints received by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate, according to which, on various Internet sites, a product is advertised, which concerns the loss of weight in a very short time.
According to the complainants, the victims, after being convinced of the supposedly safe action of the preparation, proceeded to order of. However, after consuming it, many of them had side effects.
In addition, a complaint concerning this preparation was filed by a national, according to which its photographs, which were portrayed in perfect physical proportions, were used illegally as a supposed result of the use of that preparation.
Following the correspondence with the competent department of the National Organization for Medicines (EOF) of the Ministry of Health, it was revealed that the presentation, handling and sale of this pharmaceutical preparation is not lawful by the EOF. and therefore trafficking illegally.
The Athens Prosecutor's Office was informed about the above and a preliminary examination and investigation was ordered. A thorough and thorough digital-internet investigation by the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate followed. In this context, correspondence was made with the competent management companies as well as with the competent Internet service providers and the specific websites were identified, through which the illegal product is advertised and distributed.
More specifically, it was identified that the way and the source of distribution of the illicit preparation is carried out by a company based in Dublin, Ireland. Then, the National Drug Agency (EOF) was again notified of further action under its responsibility.
The case file for the regular procedure will be submitted to the Athens District Attorney's Office, according to implementation of the customers, for the necessary legal actions.
