The ability to “paint with all Colourτα του ανέμου” σταματάει να ανήκει αποκλειστικά στη Pocahontas της Disney.
The SwatchMate Cube was developed by three friends and aims to extend the possibilities of color choices to designers and artists with the colors around them.
Using an inner sphere with a light source and a color sensor, the Cube can capture any sample from its environment. The Cube then sends the sample via Bluetooth Low Energy to each smartphone and from there you can process it on Photoshop. If the cube cannot connect to any device, will store up to 20 samples locally.
Paul Peng, Djordje Dikic and Rocky Liang designed the Cube to function both as a device for designers and artists to have colors from natural sources, but also as a means of sorting color, effectively making nature another tool, in their toolbox (palette).
"We are trying to make it available to consumers by June 2014," Peng told Mashable. “The exact price has not been decided yet, but we think it will be around $120, although we currently have it available for pre-order with 80 dollars.”
