Security company Symantec has decided to bring security to the home to the next level and introduced a new router that can block intrusions before they reach your connected devices.

Symantec equipped the super-robust hardware router to make sure that the connection speed would not be affected. So the device has a dual-core processor clocked at 1,7 GHz that can guarantee a maximum speed at 2.5 Gbps.
“4K streaming, no problem. Core is a production plant. With a 4 × 4 MU-MIMO foundation and ultrafast 802.11ac WiFi, Core is designed to deliver a maximum throughput of 2,5 Gbps. The innovative antenna design combined with the advanced beamforming, provides incredible coverage and range, ”says Symantec.

If the router detects any malicious activity, it automatically isolates the devices and sends a notification to the user, trying to protect all other connected devices and making sure there is no infection.
The router is already available for pre-orders at price of $200, and Symantec says the device will begin shipping in summer 2017. Additionally, those who order the new router will also receive a free year of Norton Core Security Plus.
The protection pack is for up to 20 devices, from computers, Macs, smartphones to tablets.
