Sys Minion is a free portable program for Microsoft Windows, which gives you instant access to advanced Windows commands that you can execute from its environment.
The functional Windows system comes with a set of tools that administrators use on a regular basis. These tools usually run from the command line, and require that they be compiled with several switches in their command.
Of course you can run these tools from the command line, or create your own batch files for easier access, but you can also use free Sys Minion tool to do the job instead of you.
The program Sys Minion comes as an 32-bit and 64-bit version for the Windows operating system. The application displays the available functions on a side bar in its environment, and information about the selected command on the right.
Sidebar is divided into groups for easier recognition, π.χ. component store, ή device drivers κλπ. Οι παρακάτω εντολές είναι διαθέσιμες στην έκδοση 1.1.1.0 που βγήκε στο αέρα στις 02/08/2017:
- Disk Cleanup Utility - Τρέχει την Εκκαθάριση δίσκου με αυξημένα δικαιώματα, ώστε να μπορείτε να αφαιρέσετε παλιά περισσεύματα των Windows από τον υπολογιστή.
- Remove SP uninstall data - Αυτό αφαιρεί το Service Pack απεγκατάστασης των δεδομένων από το μηχάνημα των Windows. Λειτουργεί μόνο σε pre-Windows 8 εκδόσεις των Windows, καθώς τα Windows 8 και 10 δεν υποστηρίζουν πακέτα υπηρεσιών.
- Analyze Component Store - Evaluates if the component store should be cleaned.Works only on Windows 8.1 or later.
- Cleanup Component Store - Εκτελεί την εντολή καθαρισμού για το component store για να ελευθερώσετε χώρο. Λειτουργεί μόνο σε Windows 8.1 ή νεότερη έκδοση.
- Cleanup and Reset Base of Component Store - Το ίδιο με παραπάνω, αλλά θα κάνει και reset στην βάση. Λειτουργεί μόνο σε Windows 8.1 ή νεότερη έκδοση.
- Health Check - Reports whether the system has been marked as damaged, and whether it can be fixed.
- Health Scan - Scans the system for component store corruption.
- OEM Drivers repository - Option to remove device drivers from system OEM drivers.
- Enable or disable signature verification to install/prevent unsigned drivers from being installed.
- Enable or disable the boot menu.
- Open the User Accounts Management Environment.
Commands either open a new environment when they run on Sys Minion, or run in a new window within the application. More generally, it is a handy tool for system administrators running some of these commands occasionally. The downside to using the app is that you have no control over the commands. You can not add your own switches or remove the switches you do not want from the commands, so it's not so flexible.
