More than 430.000 pieces of electronic tablets (tablets) were sold in 2013 on the Greek market, according to the research company market GfK Hellas marking a significant increase compared to 2012 when 120 thousand units were sold.
Sales of electronic tablets in volume 2013 exceeded 93 million in relation to 46 million in 2012, according to GFK Hellas.
At a time when Greek consumers are trying to adapt to new income data due to the economic crisis, according to GfK Hellas, this category was called to meet their communication, entertainment and information needs.
The course of the market of electronic tablets, according to the market research of GfK Hellas, is of great interest. In a relatively short period of time, the structure of competition, the average, has changed price of the category and the trend of product features.
The oligopolistic nature of the market last year gave way to a plethora of brands, with more than 10 of them occupying a share of more than 3%. The primacy of 10'' was replaced by 7'', where they now account for 2/3 of sales. At the same time, the Appliances with built-in 3G/4G were limited to 20% of the market, losing ground to the more affordable Wi-Fi devices.
