The Tails, is a live system that aims to preserve your privacy by helping you browse the Internet anonymously. The alternative, live operating system was upgraded to version 2.0 (still in Beta) and just released the final version 1.8.2.
Its developers project report:
"Version 2.0 is an important milestone in the maturity of a free software project. The first public release of Tails took place on June 23, 2009, and was called Amnesia. That was almost six years ago. "
New features
Tails 1.8.2 adopts more of the modern technologies GNU / Linux, like Linux namespaces, which essentially "shield" all the services of the system, thus providing users with a safer and more enjoyable experience.
The new version will also feature the new version of Tor 5.0.7.
