The Tails Project has just released the final version of the live OS Tails 2.4, a live operating system which runs on every computer and leaves no traces either on the machine or on the internet.
This particular operating Tails was used by former NSA employee Edward Snowden to stay hidden on the internet. The new version incorporates some important new features and changes, including upgrading to the latest Tor Browser 6.0, improvements to icedove an email suite and news.
The new version also contains many other small but useful improvements, such as firewall and kernel hardening, and support and in languages other than English. You can see the changelog of the new version from here.
Tails 2.4 fixes many issues with previous releases in the open-source amnesic incognito live system, and adds the MTU Discovery Packetization Layer Path for IPv4 networks protocols.
Along with all previous improvements, we can also mention better firewall and kernel hardening, GNOME Tweak Tool, experimental Debian APT source, module-assistant hook, “Power Off” and “reboot” που προστέθηκαν στο Applications Menu, and much more.
