Apple has filled its website with flashbacks and nostalgia today, January 24, 2014. The reason? The Mac turns 30 years old, and the company wants you to remember your first model.
On its home page, the Cupertino giant presents a beautiful timeline that takes visitors through every Mac ever made, starting withmaterial 1984 model to the new Mac Pro that looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.
From the section of 1984 , Apple welcomes visitors with an engaging story about the first Mac, showing how the computer came to be, with photos of the original Macintosh group, etc.
"The first (Mac) to start it all - the original Macintosh - was not just a computer. It was a statement that the power of computers now belonged to everyone. At that time, most people did not even know how to use them. But thanks to the simple graphical interface of the Macintosh, it was not needed ", says Apple
"He was approachable and friendly, starting with the smiling face that welcomed you. "There were folders that looked like file folders and a trash can," the description continues.
"And with a click of the mouse, you could suddenly do the unthinkable. You could move things around the screen, change the way you look, combine words with images and sounds, and create like never before. "A new era has begun," Apple said proudly.
If you go to the bottom of the page you will notice something interesting. Apple wants to hear your story: “Tell us about your first Mac" says.
There, you will be asked to select the model you started, select your country and select the line your job (at the time), helping Apple evaluate how the Mac was used by people like you. For example, the first Mac was primarily used for music production. Who would have thought it?
