The Japanese company Fujitsu has announced that it has developed technology capable of improving data transfer speeds up to ten times.
The new technology uses techniques to eliminate redundant information and compressionof data to reduce the size of information. In this way, their faster transmission is achieved.
In practice, priority is given to data most frequently displayed within a network. Thus, a reduced data size is transferred and, on the other hand, duplicate files are prevented from reaching 80%.
Regarding the data compression method, h procedure includes searching for repeating patterns with the goal of faster compression of transferred files.
More details on the technology are expected to be announced on May 15 and 16 at Tokio, on a related Fujitsu forum. As announced, commercial availability of the technology is planned within 2014.
