DVD which will have 40 storage capacity of thousands of high definition movies
Researchers at Swinburne University in Australia have developed a revolutionary new DVD recording technology. New technique uses two lasers to write data to the disc thus exploding its storage capacity. The conventional DVD they have a capacity of about 5 GB. With the new method the capacity of a DVD literally jumps to a thousand terabytes! In simpler words, one will be able to store about 40 thousand movies on such a DVD and in high definition quality. Researchers have built a prototype DVD of this truly monstrous capacity but it is not yet known when the technology will enter bioengineering production.
