The winners of this year's Imagine Cup of Microsoft

The Greek Finals of 12th World Student Competition Imagine Cup Friday, Microsoft Greece.

The winning groups by category were as follows:

  • World Citizenship - Group: The Eye of Med
  • Innovation - Group: ANEMoS MIS Group
  • Games - Group: Genesis

The three winning teams will have the opportunity to compete with the best teams from around the world in the respective categories and if they qualify, they will be selected to participate in the World Finals which will take place from July 29 to August 1, 2014, at Microsoft headquarters in Seattle.

The event for Greek Finals was opened by Eleni Rahanioti, Director of the Microsoft Hellas Technology Department. Subsequently, the 11 groups selected to participate in the final phase of the Greek competition presented the applications they have developed. The participants in the competition were able to submit their proposals in three different categories:

  • Games: This category features the most exciting and entertaining games
  • World Citizenship: In this category the λογισμικού που έχει την προ to positively impact humanity
  • Innovation: This category addresses the most innovative and innovative applications

The event was completed with the award winners.

The of the students were evaluated by a jury, which consisted of:

  •  Panayiotis Karabela, Lecturer, Ikaron School
  • Andrew "Cowboy" Deremedis, Gaming expert / consultant
  •  Fotis Draganidis, Director of Innovation Center Microsoft Hellas
  •  Helen Rahanito, Director of Microsoft Hellas Technology Department

The Imagine Cup competition was launched by Microsoft Corp. in 2003 with the aim of encouraging young people to develop innovative applications while claiming international . This year's Imagine Cup prize money is over $300.000.
