It is called Tor Bundle Instant Messaging, and it will allow people to communicate in real time, maintaining their anonymity, using the chat servers running the hidden Tor network.
A trial version of the tool should be available to users by the end of March, according to the Foundation's plans.
The project is funded by an anonymous organization. Tor Bundle Instant Messaging will work with Instantbird messenger an open source app code and will provide end-to-end encryption.
Before the new project is released to the public, it will be tested by an independent company security which will check if the software is indeed safe.
