Trolling in UK Secret Service GCHQ

Have you ever wondered if the Has the UK's intelligence agency, GCHQ, meddled in your life? If so, starting today you can find out, thanks to an online campaign launched by Privacy International (PI). The PI campaign probably aims to make life very difficult for some people...GCHQ

The privacy protection service has created a website where you can provide your personal information (your name, email address, IP address, MAC address etc) to submit a request to the investigative powers tribunal (IPT).

IPT oversees security services and asks them to confirm whether your personal information is contained in a huge database of information maintained by UK security services.

According to Privacy International, the court has a legal obligation to inform you whether such details are included in the given by the secret services.

The goal seems to be, in general, evidence that GCHQ's dragnet does not only include terrorists who are subject to government espionage.

There are two caveats: one is that by filing the lawsuit that the PI will carry out on your behalf, you should be prepared to engage in a long , and secondly, even if you are not on a list, you are submitting your information to the security services yourself.

Nevertheless, Privacy International's move will burden all relevant and involved agencies with too much bureaucratic work, indicating that the data should not be done so recklessly and without any limits.
