Former President Donald Trump announced today Wednesday that he intends to file lawsuits against Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as well as the managing directors of each company.
Trump announced his intentions at a news conference in Bedminster, New Jersey, promising that the case would lead to "the end of a shadowy ban, the cessation of silence and the cancellation you know so well."
Trump and the lawyersterms of, they plan to file suit in the Southern District of Florida. as he claims the big tech companies violated his First Amendment rights USA and even calls Facebook a “state actor.” The lawsuit against Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai points to YouTube as the defendant company.
Following the January 6 riots in the US Capitol, Twitter and Facebook banned Trump from accessing their platforms.
“We believe that the risks of allowing the President to continue to use our service at duration of this period are simply too big," Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said at the time.
