The Thursday you passed us we announced that you can integrate MS-DOS video games from the Internet Archive collection directly into your tweets.
Today, unfortunately, we also have to announce the bad news, as the Twitter decided to disable this feature.
So if you try to share a game with your friends today, all you will see is the link that leads to the game on the Internet Archive website.
The reason for disabling the interactive feature is because it violated Twitter's rules. According to the rules of Twitter there is the following warning to developers:
“The development of end-to-end interactive experiences within video ή αρχεία αναπαραγωγής ήχου που δεν σχετίζονται με το περιεχόμενο του Card Player, όπως τα ακόλουθα: αγορές, παιχνίδια, δημοσκοπήσεις, μηνύματα και data entry. You can develop these interactive experiences with our other card types or enhance your Card Player content with links to your website or mobile app.”
Of course you can still play all the games on its website Internet Archive, and you can embed them and play them over the Web. It was as fun as it held, but we can live without it.
For true reason you can play 1983's Pac Man from our page.
