The latest bulletin from the Ubuntu Kernel Team informs the community of friends of the operating system about the latest development work done in preparation for the upcoming Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus).
Joseph Salisbury of Canonical has released a news story that will delight many operating system friends.
The upcoming Ubuntu 16.04 LTS was updated with the newest kernel currently running, 15 in March of 2016. Developers have been able to update the Xenial kernel to the last long-supported kernel (LTS), Linux 4.4.5.
"The Xenial kernel has been updated to version 4.4.5 and is available for testing," said the Ubuntu kernel developers.
“The updates will be promoted soon. Please check and let us know about them Results. "
In the newsletter, the Ubuntu Kernel Team updates the final beta of Ubuntu 16 04 LTS (Xenius Xerus) (final beta means that no extra features will be added at this point) is set for March 24.
The final version of Ubuntu 16 04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) will be released on April 21 of 2016.
