A new version of Ubuntu 22.04 has been announced, along with its community releases. The announcement states:
“The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the release of Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (Long-Term Support) for Desktop, Server and Cloud products, as well as other flavors of Ubuntu with long-term support.
Typically, this point release includes many updates and brings updated installation media so that fewer updates need to be downloaded after a fresh installation.
They include security updates and fixes for other high-severity bugs, with a focus on maintaining stability and compatibility with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS.
Version 22.04.2 also brings RISC-V platform support, providing new images for LicheeRV and PolarFire Icicle Kit boards.
Versions Kubuntu 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Budgie 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu MATE 22.04. 2 LTS, Ubuntu Kylin 22.04.2 LTS, Ubuntu Studio 22.04.2 LTS and Xubuntu 22.04.2 LTS are also available.”
