Are you an illustrator, photographer or graphic designer? If so you will have the opportunity to contribute to the formation, the appearance and the feeling of it Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 - but only for the next few weeks.
The popular Ubuntu announced a contest creations wallpapers for its upcoming release, which is expected to arrive in mid-October.
From all the wallpapers to take part in the contest, 10 will be selected. Do you think you have the talent for this? Here's all you need to know.
Rules of Contest
Anyone can take part in the Ubuntu GNOME 14.10 Wallpapers Contest. You do not have to be an award-winning photographer or have a degree to take part in. All you need is the creativity and know-how to create an image in the appropriate pixels.
Ten wallpapers will be chosen through a public vote, with two backgrounds that will come from each of the following 5 categories:
- Nature (Nature)
- Architecture
- Abstract (Abstract)
- Fantasy (Fantasy)
- Space (Space)
The UG Wiki mentions that remixes and versions of work by other photographers will be accepted if they are compatible with the license Creative Commons ShareAlike 4.0.
The submission guidelines also state that Wallpapers:
They must not have trademarks, logos or trademarks
They should not use violent, religious or explicit images
They have to "fight with finesse" (eg, using a single focal point)
Beautifully matched with GNOME Shell UI
The original project should have a minimum size resolution 2560 × 1600 pixels.
When you finish your project, you can upload it to the contest pool at Flickr before August 15th.
