Martin Wimpress has announced the release of Ubuntu Mate 23.04. The new release is a minor upgrade from the previous short-term support and includes version 1.26.1 of MATE.
“Ubuntu Mate 23.04 is the least exciting Ubuntu MATE release ever. The good news is that if you liked Ubuntu Mate 22.10, then it's pretty much the same. I entered this development cycle full of energy and excitement from the Ubuntu Summit in Prague, but then I got very sick and spent a long time in the hospital. I am recovering well and will be 100% well in a few months. This means I haven't been able to invest the usual time and effort into Ubuntu Mate.
I'm happy to say that I was able to deliver another stable release with the help of the Ubuntu community.
