Microsoft as we mentioned in previous publication, began offering native support στο Ubuntu μέσα από το λειτουργικό της Windows 10.
Today the company seems to have gone one step further:
As promised, today you can download Ubuntu directly from Windows Store. Installing an entire operating system was as easy as downloading an application from the store of the company.
Το "εύκολη" όμως είναι σχετικό.
The feature is currently only available for users participating in the Windows Insider Program. You should also pre-enable the Windows Subsystem for Linux (Windows Subsystem for Linux).
Those who are interested should know that this is the Ubuntu command line and is not meant to run graphical applications.
So the use of distribution through the Windows platform is primarily for developers and system administrators. Of course there is always the solution to add a GUI that will run with a lot of problems.
Adding the popular distro to the Windows Store doesn't make things much easier, but it does save one two typing on the command line.
