USA: A Laptop ban on flight cabinets is being prepared

America is ready to ban carrying laptops on flights to by and Europe, Homeland Security officials said today.

Yesterday, European Security officials told The Daily Beast that the US would require all laptops and other similar devices (notebooks etc) to be inspected in checked baggage and placed in the luggage compartment on flights from the United Kingdom and Europe. Laptop

The ban can be announced today, Thursday. U.S. officials did not confirm the report, but said: "It is under consideration."

In March, laptops were banned from flights from 10 airports in eight Middle Eastern countries to the US, as authorities argued that they had evidence that terrorists were firing aircraft using explosive laptops.

If the ban is true, it will be a devastating blow to airlines. Besides the fact that the passengers of the economy class will not be happy at all, there are also the passengers in the first place who pay because they need to find an elegant seat in an airline to be able to work on the flight. Airlines are promoting this and have installed everything necessary for that very purpose.

But here we must mention that if the bombs can be integrated in laptops, then even placing them in the luggage compartment would be very dangerous…

So while we wait for the final decision on the ban, it seems that the US, looking at security, is preparing to make our lives much more difficult.
"No final decision has been made to extend the restriction of large electronic devices to aircraft cabins, however, it is being considered," he told the US Department of Homeland Security.

"DHS continues to assess the threat environment and will make changes when necessary to keep travelers safe in the air."
