Ο founder Huawei's Ren Zhengfei tries to downplay the impact of her ban companys of, from the Google and Qualcomm, at the behest of the US.
In comments that did in the Chinese media, at the headquarters of Huawei and according to state newspaper Global Times, Mr. Ren states that the disruption of business relations with the US will not significantly affect Huawei, due to the existing emergency plan.

But Mr Ren argued that trade restrictions would not affect Huawei's 5G growth, and that the US government "underestimates Huawei capabilities".
Huawei co-founder Ren is a 74-year-old with a low profile who almost never gives interviews, but lately all the spotlight has been on him due to the recent escalation of tensions between his company and USA.
Tension that began when the US ordered the arrest of Ms.'s daughter Meng Wanzhou which is also Huawei's CFO. Ren's tenure as an engineer in the People's Liberation Army, before Huawei was founded, has also contributed to the company's suspicion.
Google suspended Android's license to Huawei last Sunday, following orders from US President Trump, while Intel and Qualcomm said they would stop working with the Chinese telecommunications giant.
