VideoLAN, the maker of the popular VLC Media Player available for various desktop and mobile operating systems, plans to release the final version of VLC 3.0 to the public soon.
Its new version applicationIt seems to be already on the official FTP server, but it has not been officially announced yet.
The company released a total of eight candidates builds to fix things issues before final release.
VLC 3.0.0 brings big changes: it supports Chromecast, new audio formats and video, such as HDR, HTTP 2.0, comes with redesigned core elements, and with many improvements to all existing functions.
