Twitter's VideoLAN account, quoted with a short tweet:
"We plan to launch the app in the Windows Store on Monday."
This means that developers eventually managed to fix all the bugs and issues that prevented the app from being available from the Windows Store.
VLC for Windows 8.1 is the fruit of a fundraising campaign through the Kickstarter held in late 2012, two months after Microsoft released Windows 8.
Then VideoLAN had promised to release the application in a few months, but due to some problems encountered after the application was submitted to the Windows Store, the company had no choice but to delay traffic.
