Vulnerability revealed the actual IP of VPN users

A recently discovered vulnerability allows the των πραγματικών IP των χρηστών VPN.

In recent years interest in encrypted and anonymous communications has spread to a much wider audience. So the use of the VPN protocol has become very popular.

One of the goals of using a VPN is to hide your real ISP through it s IP. But this particular vulnerability shows that bypassing the protection it offers is an easy task.

The problem, revealed by VPN, Perfect Privacy (PP), is a simple port forwarding trick. If an attacker uses the same VPN as the victim, the actual IP address can be exposed by sending the traffic to a particular port.

The security vulnerability affects all VPN protocols, such as OpenVPN and IPSec, and applies to all operating systems.

"All VPN providers that offer port forwarding are affected," says PP.

Vulnerability has upset several large and small VPN providers, who have been warned since last week according to TorrentFreak.

At this time, the vulnerability has been fixed by changing the VPN server-level firewall rules. This prevents access for port forwarding from real IP IP addresses.
